Our Favorite Film Sites
Here are a few of our favorite film sites – from the well known to the willfully obscure!
Aggregators: Decide for yourself the merits of a film, but good critics can provide useful context for a film. Multiple views are always better than one, so check out these useful aggregators – a snapshot of the critical reception that films receive:
Metacritic: Metacritic assigns a point value, from 1-100, to reviews, easily adapting to stars, balloons, numbers, letters, thumbs or any appendage that might be used for film ratings. Includes pertinent quote and easy links to full reviews. Culls from more selective sources than Rotten Tomatoes. www.metacritic.com/
Rotten Tomatoes: Everyone has an opinion, and Rotten Tomatoes seems to gather most of them and then visually supplying a ripe/rotten rating for your interpretive ease. Less selective than Metacritic, but more democratic. www.rottentomatoes.com
